OK, so here’s my confession: I’m dying to have a pink room. Not over-the-top like the queen of pink, Betsey Johnson’s home (although I wouldn’t mind picking and choosing!), but something with just enough pink to add a splash.
Whether you’re sharing a home with a man who’s not a fan of pink or just not quite sure how to “pink it up a notch”, here are our top 5 favorite ways to bring a splash of pink to your home:
- Flowers: I list this one first because it’s probably the easiest one. Pink roses are great but a vase full of vibrant gerbera daisies or even pink peonies would be even better.
- Start With Black and White: We think black and white is the perfect palette for a splash of pink, especially in the bedroom (where your spouse may not be overly enthusiastic about an overwhelming pink palette).
- 3. Make it Temporary:Use pink accents in the kitchen (towels, aprons, etc.) and especially in the dining room (linens, centerpieces and even serving pieces)
- Take it With You: Opt for decorative accents that aren’t quite so permanent. We love bright pink throws and especially love pink accent pillows like this one: “PINK isn’t just a color — it’s an attitude”!
- Go All Out: Your office space is a perfect place to bring out the pink — try pink office supplies and pair it with home office furniture that’s simple with a black or white painted finish. Or opt, instead, for our new favorite: this posh pink chaise lounge.
